According to news reports, the accident caused a total closure of the southbound lanes of I-45 for several hours after the accident.
November 11, 2018 – 9:36 pm: One woman was killed Sunday night when she was struck by two different cars while crossing the interstate on foot.
The accident took place on the southbound lanes of I-45, near West Road.
For unknown reasons, the woman attempted to cross the main lanes of I-45, and while doing so she was struck by two cars. Both of the drivers who hit the woman stopped after the accident, and police report that neither of them is expected to face any charges at this time.
The woman who was killed in the crash has not yet been identified, and police are currently investigating to find out who she was.
As of 11:13 P.M. Sunday night, southbound I-45 was under a state of total closure, and Houston Police were advising drivers in the area to expect delays.
This accident is still under investigation at this time. It is still unclear who the woman in the accident was, why she was crossing the freeway on foot, and what events led up to the event.
