October 4, 2018 – 3:30 am: A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving at least two other vehicles, neither of which stopped at the site of the accident.

The crash took place early Thursday morning on the North Freeway feeder southbound near FM 1960 in Harris County.

The motorcyclist was headed southbound on the service road on a black Harley-Davidson when investigators believe he was trying to enter the main lanes of the freeway. Somehow he lost control while entering the freeway, hitting a guardrail and flying off the motorcycle.

Investigators say the man was wearing a helmet, but it was too thin to have been able to save his life.

A vehicle trying to get onto the freeway hit the motorcycle. A second vehicle, a dark-colored SUV, hit the motorcycle and the motorcyclist. Neither of these drivers stopped.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is looking for both vehicles. No description of the first one is available, but the second one was a new model black GMC Terrain, or some similar vehicle. It had damage to the front.

A witness says the motorcyclist was still alive before the SUV struck him. The accident is still under investigation at this time.
