November 2, 2018

According to police reports, a “haunted car wash” might have been the cause of the accident that left one driver trapped inside their vehicle.

October 26, 2018 – 11:50 pm: One man was injured in a 4-vehicle accident that took place just before midnight on Friday night.

The accident took place at the intersection of Kuykendahl and Alvin, just in front of a car wash.

According to officers from the Houston Police Department, the car wash was decorated with strobe lights and other Halloween decorations that may have distracted the drivers involved and led to the accident. In addition to the strobe lights, the haunted car wash had smoke machines and other spooky decorations, including one very large ghost.

Only one person was injured in the crash. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to recover well.

None of the individuals involved in the crash have been identified at this point, although police reports do state that one of the drivers was trapped inside their vehicle for some time after the crash.

The accident is still under investigation at this time. HPD officers remind drivers to keep their eyes on the road and pay attention to their surroundings while driving.
