The accident took place on U.S. Highway 290 (the Northwest Freeway), causing major delays and closures. Specifically, the collision occurred on westbound 290 at SH-6.
According to police, the driver of the SUV was dead when they arrived. The SUV was seriously damaged in the crash, and the big rig came to a stop in the highway’s median.
